Sure is great to see some of these pictures and relive old memories. I hope you all are happy & well. I’d like to hear about the reunion in 2009 if anyone has the information. Gail – I didn’t disappear when we last spoke while I was living in Manhattan NY – I moved back to Los Angeles and would really like to get back in touch.

Thanks for posting those old pics! I still have that 1983 April Fool’s Race brass trophy (not so shiny now, though). I think my brother Steven still has his, too. That was so fun. Thanks again.

Hello. I was in Udhailiyah on 1980-1981.
I was in third grade Mrs.Swayne’s class in 1980.
I always been missing Udhailiyah school and my friends.
It was so nice to see Jennifer Shontz, Dwayne Kenner, Shanna Adams and Tina Buescher pictures on this website. I would LOVE to meet/email my classmates.
Let me know if you are or know anyone who were in Third grade on 1980.
My email address is sukhoonko@gmail.com. I am in Cincinnati OH now and will be in Austin TX from July 2009.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Missing Udhailiyah.
Lived there from 1980 till they closed the camp then moved to Abqaiq. I never made it back for the re-opening.
Nothing in the world comes close to feeling like it did in the desert back in the days.
Now I’ve living in Austin (the rumor has it that it seems to be a popular place for some ex Aramco brats)
Missing it and wishing I could go back. The closest thing I can do is to reach out to my old friends and schoolmates from there and try to reconnect to the greatest years of my childhood.
I send my best….send me an email.

What a great site! I lived in Saudi from 1972-1979 in Khobar and Udh from 1982-1986. I had a blast back then and wish that my kids could have some similar experiences. The only pople I have seen from back then are Kim and Kevin King. Love to hear from anyone. todd.pavlat@linde.com

I worked as an engineer for a contractor in Udhailiyah between 1980 and 1990. I was the running project engineer in the construction of the track and soccer field, ball fields and the high school. also I was part of the construction team building the 11+ housing and some of the 3+10 dorms. This website brought my memory back. I do miss Udhailiyah. Thank you so much for teh website and pictures. I live in Long Island, NY since. What a great feeling. God Bless!
